Claire Whitfield serves as UK Procurement Adviser to Heavyline Equipment Limited, providing ongoing specialist support across commercial procurement, supplier relationship management and industrial supply chain operations from her base in London. With over a decade of experience focused on sourcing for emerging market deployments, she is Heavyline's primary point of contact for all UK and European supplier activity.
Her background spans commercial procurement roles across the manufacturing and engineering sectors in the United Kingdom, where she built strong networks with OEM suppliers, filtration specialists and electrical and mechanical component manufacturers. Claire leads the commercial side of Heavyline's UK and European sourcing activity, managing supplier contracts, negotiating pricing and terms, coordinating logistics and ensuring delivery timelines are met. She works closely with Stephen Sheffield, Heavyline's Engineering Consultant, to align commercial delivery with technical requirements, ensuring every product arrives on time, within budget and to the exact specification the client needs. She holds a BSc in Business Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), bringing professional rigour to every supplier engagement Heavyline undertakes.
Stephen Sheffield is engaged by Heavyline Equipment Limited as an Engineering Consultant, providing specialist technical input on specific procurement engagements as required. He brings over 20 years of hands-on engineering experience across industrial, mechanical, electrical and water treatment disciplines, with a career spanning project delivery and technical operations in the mining, construction, energy and manufacturing sectors across the United Kingdom and Germany.
Stephen's engineering background covers the full supply and commissioning lifecycle, from technical specification through to site installation, systems integration and performance verification. He has worked extensively with industrial filtration and water treatment systems, high-voltage electrical infrastructure, heavy plant and machinery and critical process equipment across demanding operational environments.
When engaged on a project, Stephen acts as the independent technical authority, writing specifications, validating equipment against client requirements and providing quality assurance from selection through to delivery. His involvement gives Heavyline's clients access to genuine engineering expertise on a consultancy basis, ensuring that every piece of equipment supplied is the exact solution the operation demands rather than a catalogue approximation. It is this level of technical rigour that sets Heavyline apart from conventional trading intermediaries.
